Additional Details

Lake Tahoe is beautiful and has 12 million visitors each year. The lake is 72 miles around and 11 mile across. You will be on the North Shore of the lake. The beach is 1/2 a mile from the church. You will minister to mostly local children. We do have some tourist children who come as well.

This is a children’s ministry position for preschool and school age children. You will be assigned to a specific class for the whole summer. Each class will have two teachers. We will provide the materials you need to teach your class. You will teach Bible stories, crafts, fun activities, recreation, etc. Lesson plans will already be prepared for you. If we are out of covid-19 by next summer, we take each group of children on a fun field trip once a week. Because field trips are fun, we get more children who hear the gospel. This ministry started in 1980. We also want to invest in you and help you to know that God can use you!

Spiritual Development

Debbie will email each student a devotion each day via email. We have prayer and prayer requests before we begin each day. Personal devotion times are encouraged. We have some staff worship nights. Debbie also meets with each student individually at least twice during the summer to help the grow spiritually and in other ways. We will also train students to deal with conflict in a biblical way. We have several classes in orientation that will help with their spiritual development.
