The Church Planting team works to see college students reached and discipled through domestic and international church planting. They hope to advance the efforts of church planters and college ministers by engaging college students at every level of the church planting process.
Those serving on the team include:
-
Lucas Aube: Collegiate Church Planter of Encounter Church in Sherbrooke, Quebec
-
Jessica Dahl: On-Campus Catalyst with Resonate Church at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington
-
Brian Frye: Collegiate Evangelism Strategist, State Convention of Baptists in Ohio
-
Cole Penick: BCM Campus Minister, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Arkansas – Chairperson
-
Kim Simpson: Missions Coordinator at The Point in Vancouver, British Columbia
This year’s primary focus: ForColumbus
The team initiated a massive gathering of college students called ForColumbus to be held in Columbus, OH in June in conjunction with the Southern Baptist Convention. ForColumbus will gather hundreds of college students from across the US and Canada to engage with church planters seeking to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the people of Columbus. Each day, students will be equipped to engage the city, mobilized to serve throughout the metro area and gathered to worship the Lord and hear from church planters.
