Update from the BCNet Leadership Team 3

The Leadership Team serves to resource and encourage all those who minister to college students (church-based college ministers, BCM directors, collegiate church planters).  Two of the main ongoing projects of the leadership team are the Leadership Track at Glorieta Collegiate Week and the National Collegiate Ministries Summit in Nashville, April 29-May 1, 2015.

Those serving on the team include:

Arliss Dickerson – LifeWay Contract Worker for Collegiate Ministry, Jonesboro, AR – Chairman

Allen Tate – College Minister, Highland Baptist, Florence, AL

Beth Masters – Associate Director of Christian Development, Mississippi College, Clinton, MS

Bill Noe – Collegiate/Young Adult Event Coordinator, LifeWay, Nashville, TN

Joel Bratcher – Director, Texas A&M BSM, College Station, TX

Joyce Ashcraft – Regional Director for Collegiate Ministry, The Baptist General Convention of Texas, Dallas, TX

Mike Nuss – State Director for Collegiate Ministry, Alabama Baptist Convention, Montgomery, AL

Here’s a few updates from the work of the Leadership Team:

  • We are pleased to announce that Stephen Lutz, author of College Ministry in a Post-Christian Culture and King of the Campus will be our special guest speaker in the Leadership Track at Glorieta this year.
  • Main platform speakers for the National Collegiate Summit in 2015 will be:
    1. Kyle Idleman, Teaching Pastor at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY and top Christian author
    2. Ricky Chelette, Executive Director at Living Hope Ministries in Arlington, TX, a ministry to those struggling with same-sex attraction and other sexual identity issues
    3. John Dickerson, Pastor at Cornerstone Church in Prescott, AZ and writer for The New York Times, Washington Post, and CNN as well as the recent book The Great Evangelical Recession
    4. Michael Kelley, Director for Discipleship at LifeWay Christian Resources in Nashville, TN
    5. Dave Hunt, Worship Coordinator at Trinity Church in Nashville, TN
  • Some of the mega breakouts offered at the National Collegiate Summit will also include:
    1. Steve Shadrach, Executive Director for the Center for Mission Mobilization, Fayetteville, AR
    2. Nik and Ruth Ripken, Global Missiologists with the International Mission Board, Richmond, VA
    3. Frank Page, President of the SBC Executive Committee, Nashville, TN
    4. Rick Howerton, Small Groups and Discipleship Specialist at LifeWay Christian Resources, Nashville, TN
